In the Mood
When we first arrived we saw all these great shafts of light dancing along the Sierra and beaming down to the desert floor. We really enjoyed getting shot after shot as the light played out in one area and opened up in another. As it was getting late, we decided it would be wise to go set up camp before dark in case the storm started dumping its rain on us. As we neared Mobius Arch, I couldn't help but pull over, grab my gear, and make a run for it. The camp would have to wait as I really needed to capture some of this sweet monsoon action. As it happened, there was no rain to worry about and we had the arch all to ourselves. Though the light show had stopped and the heavy clouds prevented any color for sunset, it was still a great evening to be out in the Alabama Hills beneath the Eastern Sierra.
