Two Strikes
While running around the Southwest during monsoon season, this is the only shot I managed to get with lightning…at least where it actually showed up in the image. It was about 4PM and still too bright except beneath this thunderstorm. It was moving off to the north and the lightning with it so I wasn't worried about being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Of course, about an hour later I was sitting in my truck again waiting for another storm to let up so I could get out and shoot.
