One Last Shot to Go
It had been raining all morning, but my buddy, Matt and I thought we'd go to Mather Point and see if we could get a shot. We were very lucky to get this much when the clouds parted for a few minutes. As the rain turned into snow and ice…the kind of ice that blinds and stings as it pelts your face flying by at 40mph...I could barely see my way back to the van, head down looking only at my shoes as I tried to bury myself in the hood of my jacket. It was one heck of an ending to a great adventure in the American Southwest.
