Mono Lake - an otherworldly place of odd tufa formations dotting an alkaline lake and making you feel you’ve landed on Mars!
The Eastern Sierra
The Eastern Sierra - a land of true diversity and beauty where the high desert meets steep granite peaks rising above 14,000 feet.
Thanks Jean and Matt for our excellent photo trip from San Francisco through Yosemite to the Eastern Sierra. I learned a great deal from your in-the-field instruction and from your post-processing sessions. Besides, we had a lot of fun together. ~ Paul Mennill
Ancient Bristlecone Pine Forest - home of living trees up to 5,000 years old, their trunks and branches twisted through the ages.
Bodie State Historic Park
Bodie - an old west mining town born in the 1860s where many buildings have been preserved in a state of “arrested decay.”
Thanks Jean for organizing such an amazing photo workshop for our little group. It would appear that there are many beautiful sights in northern California, but you appear to have picked the best of the best for us. Not only were the shooting locations great but you got us there at the right time of day to get some amazing images. The instruction which you and Matt gave us with respect to our compositions, camera settings, and technique were very helpful and we all came back with some images worthy of mounting on the wall. Not only that but it was great fun travelling with you both. Hopefully we can do a third trip in the not too distant future. ~ Tom Stewart
The Alabama Hills
The Alabama Hills - golden granite boulders in curious shapes with stone faces to pique your curiosity, and the famous rock arches framing Mt. Whitney.
Yosemite - Day or night in any season, discover the breadth of photographic opportunities in this iconic wonderland.
Just a quick note to say thanks very much for everything you and Matt did for us during our May 2015 photo tour of San Francisco, Yosemite and points further east. I had a wonderful time and returned a much better photographer, as I know the other three did as well. You and Matt have an excellent partnership going, with a fine mix of camaraderie and a combined store of deep knowledge. Best of luck with all your endeavours – particularly photographic ones – in the future. Cheers ~ Sid Huff
